No minivend.pid file ; no socket

Hi,

I installed Minivend 3.14 on a 2 node TruCluster Server V5.0. Funny things happened when setting up the 'simple' demo catalog:

The make test says:
m1> make test

The bin/start command says:

m1> bin/start_unix

Configuring catalog simple...done.

The minivend deamon is running:
m1> ps ax | grep miniv
594090 pts/2    S  +     0:00.01 grep miniv
594114 pts/2    S        0:00.00 minivend -w /usr/users/donze/mvend/bin/minivend -serve -u

BUT the etc/minivend.pid file is not there and the socket not present. Note that I am NOT on a NFS.

I tried as well bin/start_inet and started to go in the code but my time is limited. I would need some hints on where to go in order to understand why minivend
has some problems to create the pid file and the socket without exiting.

The purpose of this demo is to show automatic failover and load balancing between the 2 nodes of the cluster. Is not this fun ?
