seperate database for product specifications

Hi all,

 

I would like to create a seperate database with all my product specifications. This database has only two columns: code and the specification.

The specification can get very long.

 

My question is how to connect to this database from flypage.html.

 

I'm using MV 3.12 on Caldera 2.2.5 and Apach 1.3.6
