[mv] 2 questions - not showing word counter# in file, and repeated code database
****** message to minivend-users from "Michael Schwartz" <michael@panamacom.com> ******
Hi everyone!
Two questions.
Is there a way to display the counter file without showing the COUNTER# ??
i only need the number, but without adding a hit to the counter, so im using
[include]. Maybe a little script that eliminates the word ?? anyone?
and...
I have a database created from the output of a statistics program
(Analog4.01/Unix). The first column of this database is a bunch of repeated
codes. Problem here is that minivend (from my experience) wont accept
repeated codes or keys. I need to know if there is a way of accesing this
database regardless of the repetition of the code (all the codes in the
column are a letter 'x'). If this is not possible, can someone tell me how
to ADD two files using unix? something similar to DOS copy file1+file2
output. I think that adding a code column to a file using crontabs can
automate the whole process.
Suggestions and feedback greatly appreciated.
Regards
