[mv] test.EXE in wwwroot\cgi-bin??

Hi,
I installed 3.14-5 and setup a testcatalog based on simple, right after this
i was able to browse the shop but when i try to acces the catalog throug
http://localhost/test/index.html and click the 'enter' button, it is trying
to load something for about 3-4 minutes and further nothing happends (no
error log, no error page, still index.html).
this is the line in index.html:
<A HREF="/cgi-bin/test1.exe/noframes">Enter the store</A>
obviously this is wrong, but where did i go wrong?
There is an test1.exe in /cgi-bin, i don't know how it got there and what
the purpose of its presents there is. (shouldn't it be test.cgi??)
Can someone point me in the right direction?
I use Win98 + Activestate 5.22 + PWS
