[mv] SECURE SERVER PROBLEM!!!! HELP

Using "MiniVend V3.14-3" I don't really want to upgrade as I know it is 
working.

I have been having problems with the secure server.  Checkout not found when
secureURL is activated.

I have seen solutions in the maillist about this problem, one of them was to
get the secure server to look in the insecure places.  My ISP set up Apache
SSL to look in the cgi-bin.

/home/langdale/
/home/langdale/mvend
/home/langdale/www
/home/langdale/www/cgi-bin/
/home/langdale/catalogs/

I got verisign certificate installed and the minivend installed, but when I
try and change the "secureURL" variable in the "catalog.cfg", minivend works
fine until I visit the checkout page.  I see the certificate pop up but when
I press OK.  The page is not found.

RESULT OF CHECKOUT PAGE

Not Found

The requested URL /cgi-bin/langdale-cat2/ord/checkout was not found on this
server.

END OF RESULT

I don't want to catalog("langdale-cat2") directory into the www or cgi-bin
as I am worried that it bring more problems.

Please can someone give me advise on how to solve it.  Preferably easy
steps.
