[mv] [if data ...]

Here's what I want to do:
[if data database::field::[scratch TmpVar]]
...
[else]
...
[/else]
[/if]
The if statement does always returns false even if it should
return true. The scratch var does contain the right data.
Did anyone have the same problem? How did you solve it? I tried
using [if explicit] but this didn't work either.
