Hi All;

Been all though the mail archives, found references for 'first letter'
searches, but still nothing works.

I need to search the first letter for the 'artist' field, according to old
archives the following codes should work, but they do not. Anybody have a
working 'first letter' search code?

I use this, which works with first letter or multiple letters, depending on
which checkbox is checked. If you only want to search by first letter or by
beginning of word, change "bs" to
<input type=hidden name="bs" value=1>. It's a place to start, anyway:

			<INPUT TYPE=hidden NAME="fi" VALUE=my_search_file>
			<INPUT TYPE=hidden NAME="sf" VALUE=my_search_field>
			<input type=hidden name=mv_search_page value="my_search_page">
			<INPUT TYPE=text NAME="se" SIZE=50>
			<INPUT TYPE=radio NAME="su" VALUE=0 CHECKED> Match whole words only<br>
			<INPUT TYPE=radio NAME="su" VALUE=1> Match partial words<br>
			<INPUT TYPE=checkbox NAME="bs" VALUE=1 CHECKED> Match beginning of words
only&nbsp;&nbsp;<INPUT TYPE=submit VALUE=Search></form>
