****** message to minivend-users from Chris =?iso-8859-1?Q?M=FCller?= <cmueller@polinet.ch> ******
Hello list,
I have implemented a site for a office equipment and consumables
supplier. One of their major customers has now asked whether the shop
could be integrated in their Ariba Network B2B Procurement Software.
Ariba Network is a user application to combine suppliers catalogs into
one integrated system to facilitate purchasing for large organizations.
As an example in my case the central purchasing department of a large
bank decides which suppliers are accessible through Ariba Network
application to their internal clients. They can thus control quality and
quantity discounts for all their internal clients. The supplier on the
other hand is previledged, since all internal clients "automatically"
have to buy from him.
The protocol to implement a "punchout" Site is cXML
(http://www.cxml.org).
Before I start looking more closely into this, I checked the archive,
but found no references to cXML. Has anyone implemented a punchout site
allready or are there any plans on doing this? I would appreciate any
comments.
Chris
