[ic] New user - Install questions

Hello, I hope somebody will help me with a few install problems:

I just installed interchange-4.6.0

1: Makecat quit without error just after creating directories and never got
to the "your company" info.

After running makecat:

1: the <document_root>/cgi-bin directory has a file called cgi-bin in it,
but the sample catalog customer and admin links are looking for "index.html"
there.

2: The daemon is not running - I start it manually wth
/usr/local/interchange/bin/restart, but no error messages and no daemon.
Where might i find an error log?

3: where can I learn about using interchange with cybercash, etc.?
