Re: [mv] Aliasing a secure server Solution fails - is it the ~?
****** message to minivend-users from mediamob <mediamob@dnaco.net> ******
The proposed solution does not work. We think it may be because of the
tilde, and the MV docs seem to support that. Can anyone confirm or deny?
Thanks,
Pat

Pat,
The "Alias" should go in the minivend.cfg file
a generic sample one is:
Catalog simple /home/user/catalogs/simple /cgi-bin/simple /cgi-bin/alias
Modified for yours would be something like:
Catalog store /my/path/catalogs/simple /cgi-bin/store ~mediamob/cgi-bin/store
{end proposed solution}
{evidence of/reason for failure}
The following is from the minivend documentation
The first is the name of the catalog -- it will be referred to as that
name in error, warning, and informational messages. It must contain only
alphanumeric characters, hyphens, and underscores.
And I did try it and got an error
Bad alias ~mediamob/cgi-bin/store
{end evidence of/reason for failure}
