[mv] Minivend+Mysql Newbie Question
****** message to minivend-users from "Eran Binyamin Zeitoun" <eran_zeitoun@karmail.com> ******
Hi!
Just installed minivend 3.14.5 and setuped it to work with Mysql... it seems
ok..
it loaded the products table... i see it in the sql and all works good...
i used in the catalog.cfg:
## Databases
## Database products products.asc TAB
Database products products.asc
dbi:mysql:estore:212.143.86.234:3306
Database pricing pricing.asc TAB
Database transactions transactions.txt TAB
Database userdb userdb.asc TAB
Database groups groups.asc TAB
NoImport products
# Not needed unless your database requires a login
Database products USER root
1. I tried to put userdb in also as MySql table but it gave me errors that
table does
not exist..., it there anything i forgot in catalog.cfg?
2. I am using my windows 2000 as the development and the system will work on
linux...
but while developing, if i am updating the SQL table with an external
program i wrote
and changes one products details..., when i will do refresh in
minivend... it wont
show the updated product but the old details..., if i will stop & restart
minivend
then it will show me the updated product... any one have ideas?
i tried changing in catalog.cfg those settings to solve the problems...
but nada:
DynamicData products
NoCache ord special results itemlist basket index upper right
Anyone have ideas to that problem ?
BTW: i am writing a windows based application to manage Minivend MySql
tables and all
the rest files (orders / log files etc...) Since i want to do it as easy as
minivend,
the input screens of the apllication will be build with MiniVend MML so you
can customize
the application as you wish..., I am currently in pre-alpha version..., I
will glad to get
some requests from all about features.... Its working directly with any SQL
(no need for
ODBC drivers) and now i am building the DBI/DBD support for it.
Thanks in Advance,
Eran Binyamin Zeitoun.
