[mv] SQL question
****** message to minivend-users from "Brian Hanley" <hanley@parrett.net> ******
List:
I'm working on upgrading to Minivend 4.02, and I have a few issues. This is
running on glibc Linux 2.0.6 w/ the newest stable versions of: Perl, DBI,
and the Mysql DBD. The machine is running a fairly new version of mysql
which works just fine...
Right now, I'm just screwing around w/ the new 'simple' demo, and I can't
seem to get SQL to work correctly. It seems like its half SQL and half text
file. If I delete the products/products.txt file, the system doesn't work
anymore, but when I edit the SQL products table, and change a price, that
change shows up on the page immediately. It seems like its searching
through the text database, and then looking in SQL. I wouldn't think this
would be very efficient.
Second, Minimate is refusing to authenticate me. Where does that program
store passwords? I saw the minimate file in the products/ directory, but it
didn't have the passwords.
Thanks,
Brian Hanley
