RE: [mv] Minimate Web-Access - how?
****** message to minivend-users from "Curt Hauge" <chc@mninter.net> ******
Harry,
I, too, had the same problem and recently figured it out. Minimate puts a
file in the products directory called minimate.asc. This file sets up
parameters for access to the minimate administration. First set RemoteUser
and Password in the catalog.cfg, then add this same user name to
minimate.asc and set superuser to 1 (the others default to 0). This opened
up all of minimate, all of the product data, re-configuration, uploads and
downloads, etc. It is very nicely done...I think you will be impressed. I
hope that helps.
Curt

Subject: [mv] Minimate Web-Access - how?
****** message to minivend-users from Harry <mvend@fizbin.com> ******
I installed Minivend and Minimate via the RPM on a RedHat 6.1 system.
While Minivend appears to be working (I can get to the demo no problem), and
I can bring up the Minimate admin LOGIN screen, I can't get much beyond
that, as it requires the shop owner login/pass, and I can't find any
documentation or information as to what that would be - in other words, I
can't use or access Minimate at all.
What is the appropriate passwd/login combination to gain access to Minimate?
Why is this not documented ANYWHERE (at least anywhere I looked, which is
the docs, the FAQ (you'd figure this would be a FAQ), or even the manual
docs...
I have seen this same question asked several times in the mailing list
archives, yet it has never (to the best of my research) been answered. I
would very much appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this.
Thanks,
Harry
