[mv] Update top frame??

I finally managed to get a working expandable outline/menu system 
working in the left frame of an MV shop.

Now I would like to have a report window in the top frame (logobar) 
that should contain the [subtotal] of the cart.
How do I automagically update the logobar whenever i place something 
in the cart or remove something?? 
I'm sure this is a no-brainer but I fail to find it in the doc or the 
mail archive.

Would appreciate any help.
