It does work. I have done exactly that with a MV 4.03 catalog. Actually I installed the
catalog to the vend root directory and did a makecat. It installed on interchange and
used the cfg file from the MV catalog. Don't know about earlier catalogs, I am running
3.14 on the same machine. I have a fondness to the old MV :) By the way this does not
always work though. I tried an old 2.xx catalog with 3.14 and it went crazy over it all.
Did not run. I think it will be a hit and miss deal. Just try and report to the list :)
