Summary: mv_order_quantity - now assume integer value?

I use last version 4.6x and always use mv_order_quantity, [quantity-name] and
[item-quantity] with number different than integer, for example value 0.5(half)
for pizza site.
When i try to use this new version i receive the message that mv_order_quantity
value 0.5 is not a valid number/integer.
Why change this type of number, and if is possible to change for working with
not integer value.
