Modified: dist/lib/UI ichelp.txt ui.cfg
Log:
* More changes to the UI. Many minor formatting changes, remove some
never-used files, etc.
* Relocate standard CSS to outboard file. Intent is to provide several
base CSS files available through Mozilla's "Use Style" feature.
* Change URLs away from Red Hat and to ICDEVGROUP.
* More to come.

knar.main Knar Editor <p>=0DKnar stands for "Knar's Not A Registry." It's =
kind of like a registry.=0D</p>=0D=0D<p>=0DThe Knar table stores store-wide=
configuration information. If you don't know=0Dabout store-wide configurat=
ion, it probably won't help you much. On the other=0Dhand, if you just can'=

poking around (gently!) in here.=0D</p>

-genstats.main Statistics <p>=0DThe <b>Order Statistics</b> feature allows =
you to see at a glance how your store is doing.=0DYou can view your statist=
ics for any day or range of days. In addition to menus=0Dthat allow you to =
pick a particular range of days, there are shortcut buttons=0Dthat show you=
the statistics for the previous day, the past seven days, and the past 30=
=0Ddays. You can either view statistics as an overview or see the individua=

are displayed.</p>

affiliates.main Edit Affiliates <p> An Affiliates Program allows the merch=
ant to make linking agreements with=0D the owners of other web sites then =
track which orders come in from those off-site=0D links. In many cases, th=
e partner site earn a percentage of the sale from that=0D link. In other c=
ases, the merchant is simply interested in knowing how many=0D people are =
buying as a result of a particular link. The <b>Edit Affiliates</b>=0D pag=
e allows you to edit Affilite information. </p>=0D=0D<p> <b>Create New Affi=
liate</b><br>=0D Click this button to make a new Affiliate. You will be as=
ked to give that Affiliate=0D a name. This name will appear in your person=
al list of Affiliates and will also=0D appear on any orders resulting from=
this affiliate's links. After you submit=0D the new Affiliate information=
, Interchange will display a unique URL which you=0D will need to email to=
your new Affiliate. They will receive credit for an order=0D only if the =
purchaser originally clicked on that specific URL. </p>=0D=0D<p> <b>Default=
URL to Redirect to</b><br>=0D When setting up your Affilate, you have the=
choice of having their link point=0D to your front page, to any other pag=
e in your site, or perhaps to a welcome=0D page specifically for that Affi=
liate's customers. Enter the complete URL in=0D this space. Note: do <i>no=
t</i> enter the URL of the Affiliate's web site in=0D this space. </p>=0D=
=0D<p> <b>Timeout Delay</b><br>=0D The amount of time you enter here, in s=
econds, is the time that purchasers have=0D between the time they enter yo=
ur site through the link and when they must purchase=0D before their statu=
s expires. If you set this time to 60 seconds, most purchasers=0D will not=
have time to place an order and your Affiliate would not get credit=0D fo=
r any of the sales. We recommend a setting in the thousands, or a setting=
=0D of zero, which disables this feature. </p>=0D=0D<p> <b>Edit Affiliate<=
/b><br>=0D Select an Affiliate's name from the list, and click "Edit Affil=
iate" to review=0D or change the Affiliate information. If you forget the =
URL that the Affiliate=0D needs to use, it is displayed in the "Edit Affil=
iate" screen. </p>=0D=0D<p> <b>Show Orders</b><br>=0D This feature will re=
view the number, amounts, and specifics of all orders attributed=0D to a p=
articular affiliate. Select the Affiliate from the list and click "Show=0D =
Statistics." </p>=0D=0D<p>=0D<b>Show Traffic</b><br>=0DThis button will al=
low you to view information on the number of visitors who=0Dhave come to yo=
ur site via the selected affiliate.=0D</p>=0D=0D<p> <b>Delete Affiliate</b>=
<br>=0D Select the Affiliate from the list and click "Delete Affiliate" to=
remove it.=0D You will be asked to confirm your choice, after which it ca=
n not be recovered.=0D</p>=0D=0D<p>=0D<b>Affiliate Relations</b><br>=0D Yo=
u may also choose to allow the Affiliate to view the statistics for the tra=
ffic=0D on your site to which they are responsible. You can do this by all=
owing them=0D a restricted amount of access. (See the <a href=3D"access.ma=
in.html">Access Manager</a>=0D for details.) </p>=0D=0D<p> Note: the affil=
iates feature requires that the purchaser's computer accept=0D cookies. Ke=
ep in mind that some purchasers may have their browsers set to reject=0D c=
ookies or may be using browsers that do not support them. </p>
access.permissions Administrator Permissions <p>=0DThe <b>Administrator Pe=
rmissions</b> page allows you to select the operations that each user can h=
ave access to in the back office. Each section of the back office can be re=
stricted with great detail. For example, a user can be given the ability to=
view a list of all orders, but not have access to the order details. Acces=
s to the individual rows of Interchange's internal tables can also be restr=
icted on a per-table basis for each user.=0D<p>=0D<h2>Functions</h2>=0D<b>O=
K</b><br>=0DAfter selecting the type of access the user will have to each s=
ection of the Interchange Administration Site, click <b>OK</b> to commit th=
e changes. The next time this user logs on to the Administration Site the n=
ew permissions will be used.=0D<p>=0D<b>Cancel</b><br>=0DClick Cancel to ab=
andon the permissions change.=0D</p>
