Message-ID: <5.1.0.14.0.20021114010010.00a8dad0@mail.cgocable.ca> Hi all. I have read & searched in both google & swish, but have not really found any clues. I am doing admin french translation, hopefully to be included in a future release. My setup consist of a user-based install in a cpanel hosting environnement, ( reproduced on home-dev. server also ) I basically did a straight install in my shell under /home/user/interchange, this install created my default shared admin-images dir in /home/user/public_html/interchange, The problem is I have not figured out how to add fr_FR image directory, for admin. I thought they were linked from usr/interchange/share/interchange directory but adding a fr_FR either in share/interchange or in public html space does not work. Maybe there is a directive somewhere I overlooked but I'm quite clueless, and relatively new to the Perl/Interchange club. Anyone reading this having a minute to spare, and a hint, I'd appreciate. Thanks. Is /home/user/public_html/interchange a link to /usr/interchange/share/interchange? If not, then there is your problem. One other thing is that you should for example copy the default.cfg file in /usr/interchange/lib/UI/locales/to fr_FR.cfg and begin to modify that. Remember to change the first line that says Locale default < References: <5.1.0.14.0.20021115145942.00ad1978@mail.cgocable.ca> Message-ID: <20021118134943.732986b5.racke@linuxia.de> On Fri, 15 Nov 2002 15:00:50 -0500 Stephane Gosselin wrote: > > Hi all. Check your webserver logs where it tries to locate the images. I would like to bulid the store with multiple language support say with english & spain. Can this be done ?? I am using Interchange 4.8.6 with postgres database. Can I use the same locale es_ES.cfg file for the user interface also ???? Or else I have to go for the third party software to convert the language from english to spain. If anybody has any clues regarding this I will be thankfull to them. Thanks in Advance Vijeeth -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I want a button which toggles between English to Spanish vice-versa and using different data base fields to each language. My idea is to create a ID field for shifting to display Spanish text or English text (DB too) for this I need to go all pages to place the conditions to display desired text. Could any one please give me easy idea to switching to Spanish-English , English-Spanish where I am not sure about consistency with my idea and it consumes a lot of time. You can construct the button with an usertag in the spirit of the following: UserTag language_link Routine <var('MV_PAGE', 1); $arg = ''; if ($page eq $Config->{Special}->{flypage}) { $arg = $Scratch->{arg}; } # create links for (@langs) { ($lang, $currency, $label) = @$_; $url = $Tag->area({href=>"process/locale/$lang/currency/$currency/page/$page", secure=>$Scratch->{secure}, arg => $arg}); push (@urls, qq{}); } my $out = join(" \n", @urls); return <
$out EOH } EOR For selecting database fields based on the language you may want to consider to switch to 4.9 and use the Shadow database. Ciao Racke
