[ic] findbin.pm problems when installing IC

HI Everyone.
I'm installing IC 4.6.1 on Debian and a virtual host. I'm getting the
following error and I cant see to track it down.
opendir(./../../..): Permission denied at
/home/marty/usr/local/lib/perl5/FindBin.pm line 143
A lot of my perl modules are installed locally in my home directory and I
copied the findbin.pm to my PERL5LIB path just to see if I could edit out
the problem. There seems to be two commands in the findbin.pm module that
cause the problem. they are abs_path and getcwd.
I'm stumped on this one. Any help is greatly appreciated. thank you.
