Paul,

If there makecat will not do this by default you can write a script for the
program 'expect' in Unix/Linux.  This program will 'answer' the questions
for you so you can program it to fill in a value or just pass a return to
makecat.  I learned about this program in the utility autopasswd on linux
that takes out the interactivity of the passwd command and automates so that
passwd can be called from a script, in our case a 'Create User' script.
