Thanks Hans,

I get no error message from makecat; it just stops, and I'm sure it hasn't
completed the catalog install. What file could I post here to show what has
been done and what has not? makecat.cfg?

OK, I fixed some user/permission things - ie: started running as "interch"
(instead of root) and fixed permissions so 'interch' can write in
/usr/local/interchange and in the catalog directory tree.

Now the daemon starts OK...

Still bad links to the customer and admin areas out of the sample catalog.
It is trying to go to /cgi-bin/index.html, and /cgi-bin/admin/index.html,
respectively (which seems right), but makecat placed a file in my cgi-bin
called cgi-bin and that's it - no index, and no admin directory. Should I
re-run makecat, or go patch it up manually?

Jerry
