[ic] Entering Checkout Error

Could anyone shed some light on why, all of
a sudden in one store of about 10, when entering
the checkout page with items in the cart, it
would start failing with this error. This happens
ONLY when entering the checkout page. No place else.

 search
error: Limit subroutine creation: bad limit creation code in coordinated
search, probably search group without search specification.
 at /d01/inter/lib/Vend/Search.pm line 689.

Happens only when there are items in the cart.
It just hangs with this error. Thought maybe
it was a database error and rebuilt all the
mysql and gdbm databases. This allowed entry
until you try a refresh or leave and try to
re-enter. Then same error as above and the
process hangs.

Even copied a checkout page from another working
catalog and still, the same problem. No other
store seems to experience this. Nothing has
been changed. At least not intentionally. :)
