[sorry for the crosspost but i think this is of interest for both lists.]
I have written a Spong Modul for monitoring Interchange services on
remote hosts. From the README:
Check_interchange is a drop-in module for Spong that adds the ability to
monitor Interchange services. It uses the LWP::UserAgent module to make
http requests to interchange pages.
The response codes are:
- when no LWP::UserAgent Module is installed the service is reported yellow.
- when no valid URL's are set in spong.conf the service is reported yellow.
- we have three different responses from the interchange server that are all
reported red: Internal Server Error, server not running and
We're sorry, the Interchange server is unavailable.
- when the http request returns an error the service is also reported red.
It can be found at:

If you don't know Spong browse to: http://spong.sourceforge.net
