[ic] Icdebug file not showing up in my /tmp/ directory

Ok i set up my debug file so i could debug why authorize.net is not working.
I uncommented some log files in the Authorizenet.pm file. I went into
interchange.cfg file and uncomment this line

Variable DEBUG 1

When i start up interchange i get this:

Sending debug to /tmp/icdebug.
High traffic settings.
Calling UI......UI is loaded...
Vend::Payment::AuthorizeNet payment module initialized, using Net::SSLeay
Interchange V4.8.2
Configuring catalog tools...Using MySQL, DSN=dbi:mysql:test_tools...done

Which means that it knows to send stuff to /tmp/icdebug. When i look for
that file on my system icdebug file is not there. I can't find the file,
where is it? It should be in /tmp but its not. Did i miss something here!!!!

Maybe someone can shed some light on the subject. I am using interchange
4.8.2 tar version

Thanks
