Frank,

First off, good luck using webtv for this - I've never used it, but I can't
imagine doing this much shell/telnet/terminal access on a TV and gimpy
keyboard.

IC (Interchange), is for many, a whole new ballgame.  So be prepared for a
workout (I sure wasn't).  Hopefully you'll find, however, that the learning
curve is worth it.

That being said, start off here:

to go:

I'm not sure what tripod offers, but you'll need direct access to the
server, which, hopefully, is some flavor of unix (linux, bsd, solaris,
etc..).
