[ic] email to local name with change in MX record

I've set up a car at mydomain.com
The email orders go to cart_order@mydomain.com
The problem is that the MX record at mydomain.com points to everyone.net
(free unlimited email service) so the mail is trying to be sent locally but
conflicts with the MX record. I just get dead.letter at home directory but
no mail is ever sent.

Any solution? Do I need to change a localhost preference to sendmail?
If so where?
