I was doing that for a while, but I thought I would drop some
hints. :-)

I'm certainly not going to bother to move the lazy-quoted text
to the top and prefix each line with a '>'.  That's just a bit
too much like hard work.  I just delete the lazily-quoted context.

Perhaps I should just go back to ignoring the articles and followups
for a while.
