[ic] help for beginner

hi, i just begin to install interchange and the demo
'foundation'. seems to be smooth, but keep getting
the following error when clicking on 'customer entrance'
or 'admin interface'.

[error] PerlRun: `Unrecognized character \x7F at
/usr/local/httpd/cgi-bin/foundation line 1.

can someone shed some light for me?
