[ic] apache error in foundation demo

hi, part 2. please help while you can.
i configure interchange and makecat on foundation,
the first page shows up, but after i click on 
'customer entrance', i get the following error
in apache log - unrecognized character \x7F at 
/usr/local/httpd/cgi-bin/foundation line 1.

what's wrong with my setup? thanks.
