First:
You use a wrong qouting! Did you read the rules of this list?
Why did you write your answer on the top of any emails? Should we scroll 
down to remember the question and to understand your answer?

Second:
There are some way to create a file in Excel's native format by perl.

Hint:
Don't use IC to get any HTML-Files via perl and UserAgent and store it 
as a HTML-Files. Create a HTML-Files via perl itselft. It is very very 
faster.
