 I am surely no expert on this but I do believe that unless you have
your own SSL, you will also need your account name or some other
reference to your domain.  Such as
https://secure.domain.com/~your_account/html.page  At least that is what
my hosting customers must do to share my SSL. If you are sharing an SSL,
maybe you could get your own for free from  freessl. I have several
clients using free ssl and seem pretty happy with it.
