And there you have the problems with using CPANEL for Interchange.
Even then, with a couple of hours of paid support from a real IC
consultant, you probably would have been back in business. But I
would not do it, and most IC consultants wouldn't do it, because
it is suicide to try and run Interchange on CPANEL. I have a policy
of not working on any CPANEL installation (other than to help in
migrating away from it.)

I officially disavow all support for Interchange under CPANEL, and I
believe that most of ICDEVGROUP agrees with me. We did not make the
decision to put it in there, and if we had been consulted we would have
advised it not be put in there. In fact we made that recommendation to
CPANEL recently.

Very shortly, we will publish new system requirements for using
Interchange. They include:

-- Terminal (ssh or telnet) access to the machine
-- Ability to start and stop the Interchange daemon process
-- Minimum of 256M of dedicated memory available to the daemon
-- Dedicated server IP address for SSL support

In fact, those have been the defacto system requirements for years,
and are stated in the FAQ.

If your installation doesn't meet those requirements, you are on your
own. No help here. People using CPANEL and Interchange don't meet the
requirements.

Don't think I am dissing CPANEL itself. It has its place and does a
good job in that place. That place should not include Interchange.

So you are right. If you really want to use Interchange, migrate away
from CPANEL. If you want to use CPANEL, migrate away from Interchange.
It is that simple.
