Hello guys.

I am an IC newbie. I have created my first IC store at
www.imagemogul.com/cart

It is still in dev. I am also a newbie to Linux and the "hosted" side of
hosting. I have a question, that I know some people on the list are probably
gonna think is inappropriate, but I really need advice from an expert, from
the beginning.

Our store is going to be HEAVY on softgoods. We sell Video, Images, Audio,
IPIX, Stereo Images, etc etc etc. Yes, Yes, I know, we ARE gonna sell them
on cd/dvd also. Our pricing structure will be built around download however.

Is anyone out the an expert on IC regarding downloadable goods. Our store is
fully functional, and you can shop, purchase and download goods, (with the
test CC of course). A friend and I have been talking and he has been saying
I may want to change my delivery method. He said IC may give you problems
when multiple people start buying/downloading these .zip files.

Each product will probably be and average 5MB give or take 2 MB. IC of
course has softgood ability built it, which I have taken full advantage of.

We are trying to keep our prices super low, to target small businesses and
freelance GF artists. So the $1500 a month IBM hosting and staff is out of
the question. My friend and I have roundtabled some ideas, but none are
suitable for us.

There was the send as email attachment, but then you run into picky ISPs.

There was the send a password to a dynamic page where the content could be
downloaded from, but what length of time? 1 day? 5 days? We would be leaving
ourselves open for thieves I would think.

I am sorry for asking this type of question, but there has never, at least I
can't find any threads regarding IC and downloads that can be from 1MB to
100MB

We were wondering if anybody had any clever ideas, to share, and we will
work on a solution.

BTW I will put this and other snippets of IC code in the IC code deposit I
am working on. It is gonna be a converted XMB board without the discussion
part, just IC code evolutions. I am using XMB because I don't know that much
about programming this type of stuff. It will be free for everybody of
course :)
