[ic] Update on errors w/ transactions and orderline

Dear List,
I've done some hunting and found these things to be true of my error:
1. The errors aren't generated exclusively by log_transactions, but are also
generated by the checkout.html page.
2. When I remove the tags [total-cost] and [shipping] from pages, this error
goes away. If one is removed without the other, some of the repeats of the
error will go away.
3. When I modify the shipping.asc file, to the point of only leaving one
ship method with a standard shipping fee in it, the "SQL Statement" changes
from 7 to 32.
It appears that when shipping costs are calculated against anywhere, this
error comes up. Has the shipping stuff changed significantly since IC 4.6?
My shipping.asc file was working perfectly then. The shipping prices
themselves come up perfectly normally, it just produces these errors and
causes my "report" files to not work.
I copied the shipping.asc file directly from the foundation demo to my
products directory and the error goes away. However, it is not configured
for the shipping options I need. How can I convert my old shipping file to
the latest requirements?
Below is what my shipping.asc file looks like - this works perfectly in 4.6
and it produces the right numbers in 4.8.3:

Dear List,
I recently upgraded to 4.8.3 from 4.6. I'm getting this elusive error upon
checkout.
Neither the transactions or orderline db's gets updated, however both the
report and mail_receipt emails are sent.
Any ideas?
