David, you seem like a nice guy.  Have you ever read ESR's "Howto Ask
Questions the Smart Way"
(http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html)?  Specifically,
you may try the section on "Write in clear, grammatical,
correctly-spelled language".  

I hope you get someone to answer your question, but you may find that
some individuals prefer a different style of question -- its up to you.
