So you can confirm that the session files are still there?  What I mean is 
taking the [data session id] and finding that specific session in the 
session/ directory.  Also, as soon as you get the new session, can you 
manually type in the old session and get it back?  BTW, what version of 
Perl?  Can you upgrade to latest Perl?
