[ic] IC's mascot

Sorry, I am late with this, but I haven't looked in the list for over a 
month. Just wanted to say that, if there would be a animal mascot for IC, I 
think it should be a big cute brown "bear".

You know that I have given up to learn to read the IC code, but I read and 
have read a lot of Mike Heins' comments on the net since 1996. I remember 
one sig in the very, very early days (of course I can't quote it exactly 
anymore and can't find it), but is was something along the lines that said 
"he feels like a bear in his cave (I guess that's when he disappears to do 
some coding) and usually doesn't mind when you play with his toys (code). 
Just occasionally he comes out of his cave and eats the baby bears if they 
don't behave"... something like that.

Anyhow, it's a bear for IC, if you ask me. Of course you never should ask 
me. :-)
