  I have just spent the day searching the archives here and
have now read
the ongoing argument of the sensible developers vs. those of
us not having
the experience or knowledge to feel comfortable jumping off
into the new and
somewhat intimidating area of encryption that want a simple
way to get to
the this info in the clear.
  I have been converted.
  Forget my previous post.
  I recall my question.
  I am off into the world of PGP as I write this...

  Now I have to figure out how to migrate my existing MV
stores with CC
numbers in the clear to IC, and explain to my non-computer
savvy customers
why they have to have the entire system that they have been
using for years
without problems changed.

  O well.... 4 days you say?
