Ven -- I posted on another list, and here's a response about PHPshop that
may be useful to you. -Rita

"PHPShop is pretty good out of the box although it has some pretty rough
edges. Here are some problems that I have seen so far:
- Shipping module still not active.
- An item can only be in one category.
- Not a lot of documentation on it.
- Goofy way of assigning category_id's, instead of using an auto-increment
field to create id's, it uses md5 encryption for no reason.
- A little bit sloppy code.
- Not covered under a GPL but there own License.

So it depends on what you know and how many items you have in your catalog.
For a simple site, it is quite nice. For a more complex site, quite a bit of
customization will have to occur. Overall it is still pretty good though."
