[ic] Sorting by location in products.txt?

Is there any way to sort items by their location in products.txt?

Obviously, as items are added to the database, the newer items go at the 
bottom of the file.

So, as my client adds newer items (CDs, in this case), I want to be able to 
search for and sort/display them with the newest ones at the top.  Can this 
be done?  Just making it a reverse sort didn't work because it was still 
doing a numeric or alpha sort too.

The only way I can think of so far is that each item must have an extra 
field that the client must fill out as well.  Then I sort by that field.  
But that requires them to remember what the value was for each previous item 
and then increment it.
