The /usr/sbin/sendmail executable needs to be owned by root,
in the root group and have its mode set to 6555 or 6755.

The /var/spool/mqueue directory, where the "df..." file would be
written, needs to be owned by root, grouped to root and set to
mode 0755.  Check this again.

If it still doesn't work, then you'll just have to remove Sendmail
and re-install it.  Its clearly not an Interchange issue as you
would get the same error sending mail from any user ID (except root).

You should really put a blank line between your email headers and
the mail body, but Sendmail deals with this sort of input error
without any fuss.

(Thread context lost due to the lazy quoting method used in the
previous article.  I have to try to ignore articles with lazy
top-quoting, like I always used to.)
