[ic] upgrading to 4.9.3

I am in the process of moving a dev store on 4.8.6 to live on 4.9.3.

Is there any recommended path to do this? So far i've straight copied my
pages and templates over but have found that i cannot place components into
the pages. Is there a special way to do this as its no way as obvious as the
4.8.6 route.
