Who uses AVS? (WAS: Re: [ic] Writing a new payment module - please help!)

It depends on your target market. We are in the US, and we sell to every
corner of the planet. If we used average AVS settings we would completely
lose all business with the UK, and many others. It would be nice if a
processor let you set up AVS "profiles" based on customer origin. I use
AuthNet. If your selling in-country, I would just try and match address and
zip.
