This is a valid point, but the {db} parameter is really designed for
this.

The table was missing so that the lookup was not done twice. But
I think it should still be honored and have set up a parameter that
prevents lookup being done when the value is already present.

This stuff is real hard to keep in sync with the rest of the
accessories and other implementations.
