[ic] using [page SKU] in on the fly pages' description field

I would like to be able to link to another item within the description of 
another item.

I can use [page sku] on an ordinary page, and it works fine.  If I use it 
within a description, the code just shows up, ie:
Also see our [page TS-AB]long-sleeved version.[/page]

Ideas how to make this work in Interchange version 4.8?  I'm using the 
Foundation template.
