[ic] Bad column specification using [row], but the numbers add up

Hi all, this one has really gotten to me.
IC 4.8.3
RH 7.2
MySQL 3.23.54
When using the [row] and [column] tags (as I am doing many other
places and it works perfectly) I am getting the infamous "B A D R O W S P
E C I F I C A T I O N - columns too wide" message in my email that gets
sent out.
As I understand it from the archives that i have looked at, this
can only be caused by 2 things: either your column widths exceed the row
number, or that the data that is returned is too long.
Here is what I have:
[list][row 75] <--*** here I also tried 95 just for fun, same***
[column width=5 align=center][filter 1][sql-param qty][/filter][/column]
[column width=7 align=left][filter 1][sql-param sku][/filter][/column]
[column width=45 align=left][filter 1][sql-param title][/filter][/column]
[column width=10 align=right][filter 1][sql-param
price][/filter][/column][/row]
[/list]
you notice that i have also tried filtering the results to 1 character
just for the sake of trial and error, all with the same result. I have
checked the logs, and there is nothing at all.
this is being called from a [button] and [email-raw] tags, in case that is
important.
I am lost, any ideas?
