Re my previous query,  I should also add that in the page edit function 
the header and footer items are not highlighted as editable ...
My host, liquidweb.com, uses v4.9.3 which doesn't allow me to edit code 
directly, uses fill in the blank forms w/ label quite different
than your documentation (which I can follow quite readily if I just use 
my notepad).
