I hope I don't sound argumentative, but I'm not sure what you mean by a
"price".  I think Paypal's rates are aroud 2.1% which is about the same as a
regular card processor (I use both).  But maybe you meant the price of
security.  I remember a recent post by Ed LaFrance citing the security
concerns involved with enabling WideOpen, which he said would be required to
exploit the full functionality of the Paypal IPN.  eBay's API uses HTTP XML
requests and XML responses, and (from Ed's post) it sounds like Paypal's
system works differently.  Maybe they'll change it or release an
alternative.  I think Ed's conclusion was that a generated Paypal link on
the receipt page is the way to go right now.
