mod_interchange is still supported, but it still only works in Apache 1.3, no
port to Apache 2 yet.

It replaces the linker script ("store.cgi" or /cgi-bin/store) to eliminate
the overhead of invoking the script each time there's a page request. A
desirable side-effect is the simplification of the URL. The latest version of
mod_interchange can let you serve interchange from the root
(http://www.example.com/ instead of http://www.example.com/store)
