[ic] Variable Table not reflecting

Hi,
This may be unusual but I am making changes in the variable table from the
Admin module of IC which is Hidden Admin Tables.

I have changed the Company name, address, email ID, even template and cannot
see any reflect even after clicking on apply changes. I am not sure what to
do. Although changes I am making in product table are reflecting perfectly
well. Is there anything I am doing wrong ? I remember I did it before and
was doing perfectly well.
